Essay Writing Guide For 1984 Part 2 - Part 2 of 2
Essay Writing Guide For 1984 Part 2 - Part 2 of 2'Eyes Wide Shut' by acclaimed author David Lynch is the sequel to the acclaimed novel 'Eyes Wide Shut: Part 1'. It tells the story of a man who finds out that he is in love with a woman, then tries to prevent her from going into a marriage with a man whom she only just discovered he was in love with. One of the most fascinating parts of this book is that it deals with such taboo subjects such as pre-marital sex and sexual preference. One of the more controversial parts of this book revolves around the theme of consent. In 1984, the use of coercive sex was widely accepted, and there were many people who used such a mind-game to get what they wanted. However, in the present day, the same concept is not accepted at all. However, in 'Eyes Wide Shut', one can see that men can be just as manipulative as women, so the use of such tactics is still prevalent, but the more complex tools used to force the woman into the act are more hidden. In a wa y, the book can be viewed as a text discussion tool about the morals of sexuality. For example, we read about a woman who is sexually harassed by two men, and she uses that sexual harassment as an excuse to manipulate and control him to get what she wants. The author tackles such ethical issues through the medium of an essay. How can such moral questions to be discussed in a written piece of writing?Actually, the thesis of the essay is the ethics behind the use of psychological manipulation in a relationship. As we read about the psychological aspect of controlling the situation, we can see that the writer is in fact trying to set out the ethical issues raised by the story. In essence, this essay is a short introduction to the basic issues that must be dealt with when dealing with psychological manipulation in relationships. In addition, we can also see that 'Eyes Wide Shut' can be considered the sequel to '1984', which was the main story of the earlier novel. The text has actually b een expanded on, adding a few more details to the plot, making it more detailed and more intriguing. Most importantly, we can see that the protagonist of the story, David Lynch, is a true-life character. He is the main character of the book, and while he is the main character, he goes through a series of experiences that are very similar to those that are described in the later part of the book. The writer goes into detail in 'Eyes Wide Shut' about a couple that lives in California, namely Stephen Bloch and his wife Virginia Mendoza. As mentioned, the book deals with the issue of the topic of sexuality, such as rape and sexual harassment. Some readers may have to look over this part of the essay in order to understand what the writer is talking about. But the end result is worth it, and it is definitely a great example of how one can write an essay about a fiction work, and still be a fictional story. Now, let us proceed to the actual content of the essay, namely the topic of consent. As we read, we learn that this issue has been rather controversial in the past, and that David Lynch, who writes the essay, is somewhat aware of the controversial nature of the topic. Finally, I would like to say that this essay is very impressive. It is definitely worth reading and engaging yourself to look at.
